If you are a professional in psychology and mental health who wants continuing education credits through home testing, you've arrived. Started in 1995, JournaLearning International® uses popular periodicals and books as sources of current professional information. If you like to subscribe to magazines or buy books to further your knowledge, now you can get credit for reading them with the comfort and convenience of "open-book" testing in your own home.

At present, JournaLearning quizzes are included in the pages of five periodicals: Psychotherapy Networker (six issues per year, two credits per issue), Counseling Today (12 issues per year, one credit per issue), The Advocate (six issues per year, one credit per issue), Social Work and Christianity (two issues per year, two credits per issue), and Teaching Exceptional Children (six issues per year, two credits per issue). The Psychotherapy Networker and Counseling Today quizzes are now available online at this site! We are also contracted with Norton Books for home studies (good for 8 to 11 credits) on four of their books.

We are approved by the National Board for Certified Counselors to offer continuing education credit to counselors for reading all five publications plus Norton Books. We are also approved by the American Psychological Association to offer continuing education credit to psychologists for reading some of these publications.

JournaLearning International is also approved by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences and the Florida Board of Clinical Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy and Mental Health Counseling to offer continuing education credit for most of these home studies. Many states will accept programs approved by the APA, NBCC and California and Florida boards. Check your local rules.
